Sketches
There is joy and freedom in capturing a fleeting moment or an idea quickly on paper. I sketch constantly and have small note books filled with hundreds of quick impressions of people and places I experience in my life. I don’t think of them as drawings as I don’t spend hours carefully rendering them. My interest is to capture a feeling -- a quick impression. The sketches are my memories of life’s adventures, and many of them end incorporated in my paintings.
